Dear Herrlip/Jamie,
There are actually many ways to burn to DVD. With Nero, most of the time you can actually burn directly from mpegs or VOBs:
At Nero StartSmart, clik 'DVD', then 'Make your own DVD video', then 'add video files', then select the mpegs or vobs. You may take a peep under 'all supported video files' to see what kind of files are supported by Nero. Anyway, then click 'next' and follow the lead.
Try to do some experimentation yourself with a RW.
Good luck!
Nah - when I add the VOB file into the Video folder - I am getting a
pop up box saying internal error - then I get
"Nero has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL
Nero will now close
If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
I ve tried re-booting several times and still get the same error.
Can anyone answer the question that I asked in the first place?
As I am sure the error has something to do with that
I've never seen a VOB larger than 1GB. If the movie is longer than that, multiple VOB files are created. So if you have 2.2GB VOB file, that's odd, and could be the problem.
What Nero application are you using? Were I you, I would be using NeroVision Express. I'd add the original mpeg file to the project. It may be okay if that file is larger than 1GB -- though I'm not sure about that. NeroVision Express will transcode all the files in your project into the necessary format and size for a dvd, including the IFO and BUP files.
