no games loading - system browser screen only

all of a sudden this morning, no games will load on my ps2. i installed a harddrive yesterday but am not sure if that has anything to do with it. we took out the hdd and it still isn't working.

when we put in a game (real, back-up, or hdadvance disc) nothing loads and the system browser screen comes up.

is this a laser problem? we've been trying to adjust the laser all morning but nothing seems to help.

any ideas?

I had this same problem this morning. I've got a Matrix V12pstwo (with applied laser fix) and no games original or back ups work?
