Audio sometimes out of sinc in my Philips DVP630.

I have a Philips DVP630 standalone that plays DIVX, but sometimes the sound goes out of sinc with the video and I have to rewind for a split second and hit play again which resets the picture and the sound goes back into sinc with the video, but 30 seconds later, it goes out of sinc again. I wonder if it's because of the framerate or the audio, and if it is because of that, I wonder if there's any software which will let me change the compression settings or the framerate and audio of the divx file so that it would be playable in my dvd player. Do you know what framerates and audio are best for playback in standalone dvd players? Because I don't always have this problem. I have other movies that play perfectly, and every episode of south park I have plays flawlessly.

I once saw someone use a very simple program which changes the codec of a divx file with the click of one button, and then you can check with G-Spot, and the codec is actually changed. I forget the name of the program though.
