so i get my ps2 modchipped by a friend of mine. i have a v7 ps2 with a duo 2 se modchip (a real one, bought from official reseller). i dont know what wires he used, but hes done it many times so i think he knew what he was doing. everything seemed to be beautiful until i tried playing ps1 backups. i know you have to do that "hold the reset button until blue light comes on" method. but i always have to do it at least 6 times before it actually boots. sometimes it wouldnt even work at all. ps2 originals, ps1 originals, ps2 backups, and dvds all checked out. work perfectly. but those ps1 backups....they work only when they want to. i burned the ps1 backups at 4x (burner wont go lower) with some hp invent media. but i have other backups that use different media and they wont work either. i dont get it. what's wrong?

does anyone have another trick for booting ps1 backup with the duo 2 se? please help me....
