yeah, if you had a early model PSTwo with mod and a copy of usbextreme/usbadvance(the game menu, not the pc program)
then, that guide's exactly how it would work
except it wouldn't work now coz the elf has to be run from the hdd

Do you have Swap magic then..
I have a PS2 slim V14.... all I had to do to play on USB HD was first format it with NTSF, then I formatted to FAT32.
I then made folder on USB Drive called SWAPMAGIC, then place usbadvance in that folder and rename usbadvance.elf to SWAPMAGIC.ELF
I then boot with SM 3.8 and have USB drive turned on and it will find the SWAPMAGIC.ELF and then you can play your games that you have loaded with either USB Insane or USBextreme.

Hi all....I've just bought a slimline PS2 (bit late I know) and want to play online, but my net connection is USB so doesn't have an ethernet port. I have bought a 'Voyager 210' router, but when trying to install it, all lights must be lit up. When I insert the ADSL line to the router however it says it can't detect a broadband connection. When I put the ADSL line back into the USB modem it connects fine, but then of course the ADSL line is not connected to the router so the DSL light goes out. Am I completely wasting my time?

the USB port on a PS2 is not meant to be used with network device, that's what the ethernet port is for, so plug in RJ45 into that, and the other end into a switch/hub/router, which is connected to (or has built in) an ADSL modem, and if you want to plug in the ps2, pc, and other network devices or computers, you should hope it has 5 ports at least
and even if you did get a game to load via USB, (if that is even what you are trying to do) it probably would not allow you to play it online or they might ban you, but i'm not certain, i haven't dared to try it myself.

I just extract the ISO to its own Folder, then copy the 3 files to your SWAPMAGIC Folder on the USB drive.
Then rename the usbawar.elf to SWAPMAGIC.ELF
