Is it possible to back up Japanese PS2 games and Load them using the Swap Discs?

Well, it's only a tad of an exageration to say that simply playing games and DVD's puts a strain on the PS2, since it has such a crappy laser. But to answer your question, it won't make a difference. Now, using crappy media will put a strain on your laser, but I have played quite a few jap games using SM, and never had a problem. Neither have any of my friends, who do the same thing. You should be fine. Happy gaming.
