DVD43 Causes Burner/Desktop Freeze

Ok this may sound a little strange but here goes! I recently downloaded the latest release of DVD43 as my copy programme is an RF version. Using the only burner I have (a LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-411S and with DVD43 running in the sys. tray (as it does!!) every time I put a DVD in the tray the burner looked at it, said "what DVD?" and froze! When I go to start it manually, through Control Panel, the desktop freezes and all the while DVD43 does nothing. If I switch off DVD43, insert a disc and turn DVD43 back on again everything works as it should. I have installed the DVD43 on/off tool to prevent auto-on at start-up but am curious to find out if anyone else has had this problem and if they came up with any other solution. Thanks.

have you got anydvd, or another protection program running in the background that bypass copy protection?

To Zombieman: nope nothing that should interfere here. I ran the older of the 2 working versions without a hitch, all I've done is to up-date the version I'm running. Maybe I should go back to that one!!

Use DVD dycrypter and DVD Shrink.. Its better

Well, have downloaded DVDShrink & DVDDecrypter and looks as if u may have been right!! (much as it pains me to admit this of another!!) have taken them for a test drive and am very happy. Thanks for the advice ;-}
