so but how do I use my slide card , Because I dont want to crash my play station.
What I'm doing is:
1. I put my swap magic disc 3.3 in the play (then it comes to something that gives 2 options: load program and video mode, you know that)
2. I push my button to open the tray(then it says insert a bigger TOC disc.
3. thats when I put the back up of a game
4. I push the button on the console to close the tray
5. and then it says refresh TOC and then comes to the original window that gives the 2 options and under those 2 options it says this is not a valid PS2 disc

it depends on what type of game your loading.
dvd = swap magic dvd
cd = swap magic cd
you load swap magic, then use the slide card to put in the backup. You CANT use the eject button to put in a backup game.

Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

. Insert a Swap Magic Disc in your PlayStation2 (use CD or DVD version)
2. When there is two options(Load Program and Video Mode)on the screen, that is the time to swap the disc.
3. Use mod chip or Slide-Tool to eject the CD tray
4. Insert your CD or DVD backup
5. Use mod chip or Slide-Tool to put the CD tray back
6. Press X on joy pad and the game starts
Quote: 3. Use mod chip or Slide-Tool to eject the CD tray
you must use the slide card to open the tray,slide it in on the left,move it across to the right until it grips,then pull the tray open..
i take it you have removed the front of the tray?

After you complete the copy process, is the duplicate disk an exact copy of the original? After I burned a copy of a game that I own, I see that the outer most edge of the disk doesn't have any data on it. Is this normal? I used DVD Decrypter to read and write it with. The game didn't work when I tried to boot with SMD. Thought that might have been the problem.

The game is WhipLash. I'm using SMD 3.2 and I just finished installing ghost clips to my psTwo. I thought maybe the reason why it wouldn't boot up was because there wasn't any data on this outer edge.
