Nero Vision Express 2 & 3 help

HI I have just upgraded my Nero package to Nero 6 Reloaded, I use vision express 2 a lot and I thought I would try out Vision Express 3, everything is fine with the program except when it comes to transcoding,
I?m currently making my DVD movie, and there is 4 video files all of which are 24 mins long, with Vision Express 2 it took 1 hour 30 mins to transcode and burn to a DVD disc, now with Vision Express 3 it takes 5 hours to do the same thing, I have set all the same setting to what I had in Vision Express 2 to Vision Express 3, and still it takes 5 hours, I thought that Vision Express 3 was suppose to be faster. Is there any particular reason why it takes longer now??

Don't have an answer. Just sharing my experience.

I just completed my first project with ver 3. I've only been doing this for about a month, and did about half a dozen dvd's with ver 2. My latest, with ver 3, did seem to take a little longer than I recall the others taking, but it was also my largest project, and used a feature I don't recall from ver 2: the ability to "shrink" the source files when they exceed the size of a dvd5. Transcoding took just over 4 hours for sources that totaled over 5 GB. The burn itself, only took about 6 minutes.

This is a learning process. I'm not happy with how much compression was applied. I think some kind of arbitrary bit rate was applied without checking whether it maximized the available space on the dvd. As it was, it shrunk my +5 G project to just a bit over 3 G, leaving a gig of space unused.

Five hours certainly seems unreasonable for an hour and a half of video. How big were the files, and did NVE do any compression, if you know?
