Hello Everyone :)

I am a 'newbie' and have really enjoyed lurking here for a few days!

About ready to buy an 'external' DVD writer (16X SAMSUNG TS-H552B/WBAH).

Does anyone here have the following standalone unit for playback? Akai DVM-9500 5 Disk Changer? I have one and it's doing a great job on my original DVDs, wonder how it performs with backups? ANY experience with running DVD-R, +R etc? The owner's manual says it can sometimes fail with -Rs, can anyone confirm? If you're using backups in your DVM-9500, what brand of media is best from your experience?
