Not sure when all this started. I turn on the computer and everything is fine. Sometimes not all the time when I insert a DVD, CD in either Drive it will spin up read one or twice and there is HD activity. The mouse is frozen, no keyboard response nada. I leave the DVD in and reset computer. It reads it OK and able to play it. I even disabled autoplay and tried different settings with autoplay. I also deleted nome nonused players. I think this all started when I installed Nero last year. I have upgraded which it has already sent notification of updates again. I use PowerDVD or Windows player to play DVD's. I feel my problem is is a program that is trying to read it that cannot. What is odd if I have a DVD that has WS on one side and FS on the other and I want to play the other side and eject, flip it, insert it locks up too most of the time. I am using both Lite-On RW and Rom Drives. Like I said everything worked fine but something I installed last year is causing it. I have deleted a lot of non used stuff but still trying to find what is the culprit. I have a P4, 2.8GHZ, 512mram Intel processor and board. The computer works great except for this.
