My wife is buying me a dvd burner for xmas and I have no freakind idea which one to get. I've heard good things about the pioneer and sony drives (my drive will have to be external hooked up to the firewire) I really need to know this. Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Well, I have Pioneer 104 and it's great so far. But you can get Pioneer 105 and it's at 4x now. My is only 2x

Some one says that SONY is the best, but make sure you check it out first, before you buy it.
