I'm looking into getting a PS2 with a mod chip, and have read with interest many of the postings on this site.

However, I have a question I hope someone with knowledge of backing up PS2 games can help me with...

How will I know which blank media to use, or does it really matter? Can I use DVD media for all my PS2 games? Will CD-R s work? Does it matter, and how can I tell when (if) each is needed?

it says right on the game if its cd or dvd (most are dvd). Also, use GOOD quality dvd media like verbatim or ritek, -r is preferred if you have an older ps2.
