VCD's straight up stopped working...

i have burned about 5 or 6 VCD's and they have all worked fine.
The last one I made i popped it in my DVD player and it read for a second, stuttered and read again. Read, stop, read stop. After a while it told me there was no disc in the DVD player. I made about 5 more with other programs and settings ... same result.
All I have done is moved the video file I was burning. I imagine that's incredibly harmless. I have two burners .. one is already history .. is this one done for too or does anyone know what on earth is going on?
please help .. this is very important to me ..
