Magic Switch MOD to allow closure

Ive recently installed a Magic Switch Mod but due to the nature of "Tool C" the lid is unable to close. I was wondering if it was poswsible for me to cut off the stand part of tool c. would this allow the lid to close with tool c still staying in place.

I know that this wont help much if you have already bought this magic switch, but the "Slim-Tool" allows you to close the door on the slimline ps2 while it is installed and you never need to remove it!
ashok2429, I suppose you could trim it down a bit, they do seem a bit big.
