Problem playing shrek 2 on ps2 and portable DVD

Well my portable DVD player plays DVD-R and DVD+R.
I made a compilation movie of .mpg clips and it worked on both.

So i decided to make a back-up of a shrek 2 movie since my little cousins are not too gentle with their DVD's. I used the DVD shrink and it says it fit completely, well i encoded it and recorded with nero 6.
When i went to try the DVD it won't play on neither the playstation or the portable DVD. It does play on a stand alone DVD player, but not on the others, i reall wanted this to play on my portable since it's where the kids mostly use it, but it won't play it.

What can i do?

there is an option in DVD Shrink that is book type DVD-rom, do i need to choose that so my DVD+R's will play on all DVD players?

My DVD+R's using DVD Shrink will not play on my portable DVD wich does play DVD-R/DVD+R
