Getting ready to buy a new ASUS CDR-W as my Phillips DVDR+w-D01 does not doe correct EFM coding. What other drives are you folks using and does Alch 120 get around the new Safe Disk 2.8 and Securom? New here....help me out

The new Asus [at least the 52/24/52] are AFAIK also made by LiteON.

I don't have any games using Safedisk 2.8, but so far, nothing has given me any problems on my LiteON 52/24/52.

Other good backup programs besides Alcohol 120 that I've used are CloneCD and Blindwrite.

I might be mistaken on this, but LiteON's since the 24/10/40 have always done EFM. But don't quote me on that one.
