Um, thats not a dvd burner. its a cd burner and dvd reader. if you wan't to buy a burner, get it from pricewatch.com
Second, those discs might work (some people have problems with 8x media), but you got screwed on the price. With shipping, you could have gotten a 50-100 pack from newegg or some other online shop.

get a DVR-108 or wait for the DVR-109 they are from pioneer.
