Quick stupid question... I have ps2 v1 and an SBOX chip. I have no problem booting cd-r but can not boot DVD-r. I dont want to buy another chip so i guess the next best thing would be Swap Magic methood. I have been looking around and some sites still sell the old SM for about 5 to 8 dollars cheeper. I know the SM 3.3 is compatible with the new ps2 (slim) but that does not apply to me. Is that the only difference or is it compatible with more games... Just wanted to know before i buy it. i have been using gameshark2 without much luck. will only work with older dvd games like prince of persia 1. I know the the DVD's are burned correclty cause i have tested it on a ps2 with a chip and they work fine. I was not able to boot Mortal Kombat DA or Tony Hawk UG2. Please let me know which one would be the better buy thanks...

If I was you i would buy the new Swap Magic Boot v3.3 just because its a little more advanced and you can probably run more games than the older version. I have a V4 and i ordered the combo that comes with the slide card. So if i was you i'd order the newer updated version of it. That just my opinion any one else.

Thanks... I am going to stop being cheap and just pay the extra 5 bucks... I have a home made card for the swaping and it works perfect, so i am just going to get the disk. thanks again for your help...
