Most 8x media wont burn at 1x properly.
I would suggest 4x media.

My 8x yuden minimum burn speed was 2.4x.
So i save those for movies,
Got some 4x for my games.
That allowed me to burn at 1x.

Good luck.

I can burn my 8x max media at 12x?

Use dvd info tool on your disks.
it will tell you the accepted recording speeds,
Of your media.
you may able to set the burner to burn at 1x,
but if the media doesnt support 1x,
your gonna be burning coasters.

I use Nero cd/dvd speed,
to check my media (manufaturer and supported speeds)
I had this exact same problem before

well for them to work properly with the ps2
at 1x your media has to support the 1x speed.

I bet his 8x minimum record speed on those disks
Is 2.4x.

And he is burning them at 1x causing the errors.

Use nero cd/dvd tools and find out the minumum speed for the disks your using.

Just burn on accepted (manufatured) media speeds.
For ps2 games.
For movies i dont think it matters.

"Andone quote"

yes.. I think I've mentioned it before, but my computer won't open the link, its an extremely old computer, so if someone could just summarize it that would be great...

actually I can only access pre bookmarked sites, and this already happens to be one of them... Kind of lucky I guess that I can access the thread links...

Maybe the problem is your computer.
