A friend mentioned he had heard about some software, where you could enter your DVD barcode and it would give you some info on your DVD, for purposes of record keeping or cataloging?

Is he nuts or does something like this exist.

I would like to keep an inventory or something of my collection,

I dont know about one that works with barcodes but dvdprofiler will do what you want it to do,and its free:http://www.intervocative.com/

opps I was wrong,dvd profiler does work with barcodes,I just never used it that way...my bad
enjoy this software,I use it to keep track of my dvds.... over 500 of them
