I bought the MPT to go with my V400 because I was told I could access the Internet through my local ISP instead of Cingular's (which is $80/mo.).
I've installed it and it recognizes the phone, but when it dials it cuts off immediately and will not handshake with my ISP.
Am I mistaken about being able to bypass Cingular's ISP program? Why can't I just dial up my ISP and access the internet through them?
