Spider Chip Not Sitting Flush

I got a spider chip today and im new 2 moding consoles. I tryed installing it and theres a problem the chip does not sit flush and the side of it does not sit right and makes my xbox flash red but when i push it down with my finger or something it works... how would i get it 2 sit flush? (i think i was suppost 2 get a washer or something but never got 1 in my package) anything that could push it down or something?

use a cork 3/4-1" (cut a little at a time until perfect fit). use the CDrom to push down on the chip using the cork. Thats what i learned somewhere in this forum. Hope that helps.
