pretty much every divx or xvid file i have now plays back choppy. i've never had this problem before and it's happening with movies that used to be fine. can't think of anything i changed (no new codecs, no major hardware changes). i looked and looked for similar posts but the only ones with answers regarded standalone players. please help, here's my specs

amd athlon xp2400+
512 ram
raedon 9000 pro
