fujifilm cd-r, TY quality?

I just bought the 50 cake FUJIFILM , made in Japan. It looks like TY, is there a way to identify it? The weird thing is after burning a music CD, it would have a 2-3 different rings. Is this normal? I am using my Pioneer burner 108 to burn this cd.

Let me what it comes up with, I'm in the market for some new CD-R's and I saw a good deal on those FujiFilms. If they are TY's, like the FujiFilm DVD+R's that are made in Japan are, then I'll definitely pick some up.

I just bought a pack of 50 cd-rs from Best Buy that are FujiFilm. They are made by TY. If it says made in Japan, I think you're good. I read somewhere to also look at the packaging. TYs are just that plastic wrap stuff. They don't have a paper label like some other ones do. Also the plastic case is perforated at the bottom(the black plastic bottom) and sticks out a bit for an inch or so going towards the top(the clear plastic cover). Hope that last part made sense. HTH

About the rings, you're probably burning using Track-at-Once method instead of Disk-at-Once. If you're using Nero, check for ID using Nero CD-DVD Speed.
