This PS2 has a laser fix mod so the buyer does not have to worry about the laser burning out. I have been using this frequently the past 6 months and it plays every backup flawlessly.

$230 sounds like a good price for it newly modded, not six months used. PS2's are $150 new now. It takes someone who knows what they're doing 20 minutes to install a 48 wire/24 solder, chip.

I think' ebay has ban the sale of modded consoles, you probably wont get what you are asking for without the notice that is has been chipped.

Don't buy this premodded playstation 2, this guy is ripping you off. You can buy a premodded playstation 2 cheaper then buying a non-premodded playstation 2 if you buy it street price(american). You can buy a premodded playstation 2 for $125.00 street price. This guy is ripping you off big time.

smarterth why do you have to call me an asshole for trying to sell my PS2? What did I ever do to you? I dont think my price is that unfair. In fact I have a few people wanting to buy at that price. That site you listed is selling a used PS2 from Canada! 185 doesnt include shipping and I dont think itll be a cheap ride from canada to the US. My price includes shipping. Even if my price is a bit higher than that site with shipping, I find no reason why you have to call me a rip off and an asshole. Im just trying to find a new home for my PS2.

Oh yeah, buying things from canada isn't expensive. Its about the same for shipping in the usa. 185 + 15 dollars= 200 dollars. You save 200 dollars and you won't get ripped off, this guy is probably selling a broken playstation 2.

droc327 is obviously fujisuma other account, he must be upset because I give fair prices. The reason I can sell premodded ps2's so cheap, is because I only really pay for the cards we put in them. See, they have trucks that ship playstation 2's and we pay the truckers fee's to give us playstation 2's every so often. Yes, I know its not legal, but modding isn't legal either. Thats how I run things. lol, and this card is better then the Matrix Infinity.

These are the best modchips, thats why we use them. The Matrix Infinity modchips are good, but I've heard complaints that they break or the laser stops working because of it. Thats why we use this brand instead.

Your operation is illegal; modchips are not illegal if you use them according to your counties legal regulations.
the dms4 is not a better chip then matrix! first of all the matrix flashes are 1st party flashes, whereas the dms4 chips use 3rd party toxic flashes. the lite only has 128k flash mem where the matrix has 512k. Plus, there is far more support for the matrix chips.
Compare Specs & the amount of updates from the chip manufactures (not third party - even with the toxic flash the dms4 is still somewhat less featured)!!!

The only difference between the pro & lite ed of the dms4 chip is the flash memory for homebrew apps. with the infinity manager you can just use a mega memory card and store them on a card that is 16 mb's (without a boot disc) and store & boot your homebrews from there. I store the reality media player and hd loader + a bunch of emus on the memory card (no disc reqired).
PS: smarterth, DMS4 (can destroy your laser on v12/w diode, not as likely due to better cd/dvd patching) or Matrix infinity (minor freeze problems w/diode havent tried the accual PIC matrix fix - cd/dvd patching isnt quite as good - can be fixed in future updates) both can cause damage to your v12 slim unit. the best overall chip for the slim model is the Ripper3 chip.
here is a few fixes that can remedy the laser problem without the diode or matrix fix (these are gereral repairs to the motherboard - sony has serious design flaws with the v12 - the v12 slim can break without a modchip!)

As for the v9 & v10 matrix infinity is the best chip to use, its much easier on the LA.
