I recently installed a spider chip into a 1.5 xbox.
i thought i used m8+16 bios. I just read that that one is wrong and that it will kill my xbox. My xbox boots fine showing an evox shield logo in red. I have disabled it sence then. What utility will tell me what bios version is flashed to the chip.

And should it be working fine if the bios is wrong.

It's working just fine. It's not M8+16 for sure. If it is, you wouldn't see the evox shield at all.
