I was wondering if there was any method to boot hdloader from mc without using a psx game. Plus, I don't have a modchip. Is this possible or will I always need a psx game to trigger hdloader? Thanks.

i have hd advance and it loads up just like a regular ps2 game.so my guess is that you dont need a mod for hd loader since they are basically the same thing
