i accidentally ordered the wrong case a 8 screw case instead of a 10 is there some way i can get it to fit i dont want to buy a new one, i mean its just plastic cant i trim it a bit? to make it fit?

I did thhe same thing...Ideally a file should do the trick, but I lacked one. A lighter works well though. Just melt the excess and be careful not to let the flames spread to far. Do it outside to. You have to be kinda careful, but it works well. Good luck.
