burning .avi's to dvd in nero

hi, im trying to burn an avi movie to nero. The only way i can get nero into a mode where it will add .avi's to project is using Vision Express, and then to Make CD --> Video CD. Then when i press "Add Video Files" i see all the files (avi, vob, and a whole lot more.) This is all good, except i would like to burn to dvd and not to vcd. Would it still work if i added my .avi to the project and burned it onto a dvd instead of a cd/vcd?

please, if anyone knows how to use Nero, id appreciate it greatly. Ive been trying to get this to work for days now.

Nero Vision Express will burn to a dvd. Just pick MAKE A DVD MOVIE at the start of the conversion, Then add the AVI files as before.

Correction:: I think it says Make a dvd video. Not DVD movie.

you should have option "Make DVD" at the top above "Make CD"

if you don't have it, do you have the dvd-video plug-in? you have to have it installed first
