hey everyone. im having trouble with a movie im making.
i have the movie already made and ready to burn to a DVD. in fact, i have burned it to a DVD using DVD Architect. the problem is that about an inch on the left and right sides is cut off. i only have this problem on non-computer DVD players. in other words, when i play the DVD on my computer, it is fine, but when i play it on a tv DVD player, the sides are cut off.
someone suggested to me to change the resolution (track motion)to have a width of 650 instead of the default 720. i did this and burned the movie, but now it was too small. there was black on either side of the video. so then i changed it to have a width of 700. this worked fine; it fit on the tv very well. but when i went to play it on a different tv, the edges were cut off again :(.
ive been told that older tvs tend to cut off more of the picture. if this is so, then is it possible to make the video fit each different screen its on? such as how professional movies say, "this movie has been formatted to fit your television". if not, then do i just have to make it a certain resolution and just deal with the differences on different tvs?
thanks in advance for the help :D
