Should or should I finalize a DVD-R? using Nero? I obviously wouldn't if i was burning a DVD-RW but that is another question.

If its a dvd movie and you have the disc almost full then I say Yes. If its a data disc and you want to put more data on it later then no. Use the multi session option.
