i have a version 3 ps2 and i have the swap magic disc with the slide tool and when i put in the dvd disc it will boot and go to the screen where it says playstation and then it will come back to the screen where it show my memory card and the disc and the only way i can boot is that i have to put in the cd disc and then wait until it goes to the load program screen and eject that disc and replace it with the dvd disc and then i have to load the program and it will ask me to insert disc it will work that way but doesnt the dvd disc suppose to do that without have to switch the cd disc out can someone help me

its either the disc or your laser.
