B & W only play using swap magic 2.0

I have a Ver 9 ps2 (PAL) and was sold Swap magic 2.0 to play NTSC and copy games. When it boots up i can only see the games in b&W. Games work fine on a mates Ver 7 console. Any ideas?

you can either buy an rgb scart (cheap) or use cd/dvd loader after swapmagic disc

The same discs and swap magic work fine on a ver 7 PS2
