Help with DVD2SVCD settings

Hi, I am hoping that someone can help me with a few minor questions about the excellent dvd2svcd software and the associated programs that it calls up.

I have just made a VCD automatically spread over 2 disks by the software. I am using CDR-80 disks. After the software left me with the 2 binary and cue files for burning with Nero, the first binary for the first disk was JUST too big to be burned to the CD, maybe because of the chaptering, I don't know. I noticed that the software uses cut-off points of 795 for CDR 80's and 735 for CDR 74's, to spread the movie over multiple disks. Does anyone know of an 'ini' or config. file that I can change to make this split a bit lower? i.e 790 or 785 for CDR 80's and 730 or 725 for CDR 75's.

Also I would like to overlap the VCD's a little, so that the 2nd disk plays the last 10 or 20 seconds of the 1st disk before carrying on.

My last question is that I would like to boost the audio level a little bit. When I play the VCD's, i have to have ALL my volume controls fully up on my PC, and very high on my TV when playing with my DVD player. Currently dvd2svcd is using the 'BeSweet' module with Autodetect Azid gain (2 pass). Can I get it the level higher without distortion?
