Im new to backing up ps2 games (this being my 1st attempt!!) but ive followed guides on here to help and seems straight forward.
Im using dvd decypter and have got the iso extracted onto my hdd and have writen it at both 2x and 4x onto a TDK dvd-r (1-4x). However it doesn't wanna load - says invalid ps2 disc. Im using the flip top with swap magic 3.3.

Any one know whats up? Is it the blank media//write speed?????

You can check your media here:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
It is also best to burn at 1x.
This game runs a lot off of the dvd.
Newer ps2 run +r media better.
1-4 prefer -r 1-3 wont run +r.
I would try at 1x on
Quality +r4x max media.
(If your ps2 is over ver 5)

Cheers for the info. I just tried burning at 1x speed but seems to have written in the same time as 2x speed. (30mins)... and still doesn't load the game!
Im writing with a LiteOn external drive.
Any ideas?

No probs ... I used HDAdvance 2.0 and had it on my HDD for a couple days ... deleted it, downloaded a couple other games in its place.

i use TDK DVD-Rs as well. and i have SMD 3.2 with a fliptop. i burned it at 2x with my sony dvd burner. it works fine on my system, so i dont think its the media.
