I use to be able to convert fine using Tmpg (using win98SE). Now I have Windows XP and everytime I encode (about 1/4th of the way threw) I get an error that says ...

"Read error occured at address 004810D3 of module 'TMPGEnc.exe' with 01F17C28."

I've tried different movies. I use smart ripper, DVD2AVI, then TMPGnc. I'm using an AMD Athlon 1.46 GHz with a 40 gig hd (about 25 gigs free) and 328 MB of SDRAM. And if it matters, I have a GForce 2 400 MX, not to forget Windows XP Professional.

If someone could help me, It would make my day/week/year/life (well, I dono about the life one, lol). Thank you (whoever you are, in advance, for helping me).
