Help... THE NETWORK IS GONE...
or something... I am kinda freaking...
Alkhoon was right, the 1.3.3version is too old (so it says). I uninstalled, thinking it's a time limit thing... but no... it's a problem with Morpheus. I haven't found a new version, maybe I am not so good at searchin' but I think not. BUT if there is a source for the new version, help me out on that please.
If this persists, or whatever, what's the best Kazzzzza p2p program???
thanks in advance..

Morpheus have changed his sharing method. That's the problem. It have migrated to the Gnutella net, so for the old net of Kazaa you can only use Kazaa or Grokster. I recomend you Grokster, because both of them comes with spyware (Gator), but you can use Ad-Aware or any other program for spy cleaning to delete the Gator and then Grokster will still run, but Kazaa wouldn't do the same.

One day I opened morpheus up and when i went to download a song, the icon came up as a microsoft word icon, not a windows media player icon. so i took it off my computer completely and now i can't get it back on. I keep getting a message saying there was an I/O error. Can anyone help???? I want to be able to play my songs! I can't do that now! HEEELP! Also, I had Kazaa on my computer and got 3 viruses from it. I had to get a whole new computer because i did not cath it in time. What ever happend to checking each file for a virus?

AFAIK nothing has changed; you should still check every file you download for viruses:-)

I would avoid Morpheus like the plague. It used to run with the spyware eliminated but, last I checked it won't. Grokster started adding spyware and Kazaa is widely known as a spyware and ad- server source, although I've heard that Kazaa-lite doesn't have it. Blubster works well, but has a small selection. I'd blow Kazaa and Morpheus away and use WinMX. I ran into the spyware when I got the 'must upgrade' notice from Morpheus. Sneaky!
I have yet to figure out what some of the colors in Winmx, mean but it has no spyware, downloads quickly and has a pretty broad selection. You can play your downloaded MP3s on a number of players Winamp [free] being one of the most prominent.

Are you talking about the newest v. of Morpheus?
Spyware or not, the release is pretty buggy. Not to mention it uses Java Runtime Enviroment, I haven´t seen a whole program built on java before.

Yeah, it was the newest version. CNET was pimping it as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I downloaded it and got the ugly surprise. Had to poke around in the registry to get rid of adware, spyware etc. o their credit they actually do mention all the ad stuff in the agreement, although they don't call anything spyware of course <g>
I would recommend that anyone who has this on their system download Ad-Aware and run it. You're bound to get some unpleasant surprises.I quit using Morpheus previously after their last 'upgrade' which started this junk. It's a shame, but the same thing happened to Grokster, which I used to love. Gotta keep moving. So far [knock wood, cross fingers] Winmx has been pretty good, although I have no idea what some of the colors mean under server status.

You can´t just post here saying it´s not working without describing the situation.
What app?, what version, what OS?
