Ok, well, I have noticed many were able to rip this movie, "The Grudge" just fine, or many were not able to rip this at all struggling. Well, I have done many different options for two days and have not got it done successfully! I need help with this. First, I have all the updated/latest programs of Shrink, Decrypter, and AnyDVD. These are the following types of way I tried ripping and have not succeed.
-Normal through Shrink or Decrypter without AnyDVD which i read many had succeed.
-Shrink or Decrypter with AnyDVD which I thought is the best solution but did not work.
-Shrink or Decrypter after uninstalling AnyDVD, did this after reading someone mentioning about this in the forum.
And none has worked. All of them was working pretty much working halfway through but failed. Any suggestions how I can succeed other ways? I just do not want only movie, I like to have the extras as well.
I had never had a problem succeeding until "Bourne supremacy" and other universal movies after understanding about the pattern of the "little green evil boy" jumping happily. Other than that, Sony is getting better at protecting movies and wish the creator of Shrink would update, but unfortunately read that he's working for Nero.
I hope someone is able to help me out after running out of alot of options.
Thanks

Try AnyDVD again run it. Then use InterDVDCopy search for there site you can get a free trial. It worked for me. I tried using AnyDVD and then DVDClone and it failed. Much luck.

cproject - Where can I find InterDVD Copy? I search for it, and can't come with finding the program on both the internet or p2p programs.
Flip - I tried that like 6 times both file and iso mode and does not work for me. It always stop at video 7.3 file. I noticed for others it stops at 8.3 which is strange.

I tried the latest versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD with no luck. However, AnyDVD with DVDShrink works fine for some unknown reason. There is a new version od CloneDVD that just came out. I will give that a shot.

RNF1968- Clone dvd probably didn't work becuase the version on this website is not the newest verison. The newest version is the one on the link i gave. Version 2.7.3.1 is the new one. The one on this site is version 2.7.1.1. So if you get the new version it would work. and is very easy. Within 30 minutes i had it burned.

RNF - Thanks for the info! But still I'm unlucky, but I have faith in doing that way. I'm most certainly believe it's the disc it's self, and if I rent another disc it should work. When doing that, I got stuck at the same exact file, VTS_07_3.VOB. And tried all again the Shrink, Decrypter, with and without AnyDVD, and not luck. So i'm going have to give another shot renting a different dvd of that movie. Hopefully it will works! Thanks again.

grkguy - No problem. With all the people on this forum, we are bound to solve all our problems. If you have multiple DVD drives, give them a shot. I have had problems ripping from a certain drive and changing drives solved the problem. Dont know why though. Or try another DVD.

Hacking the firmware sounds like to much work and potentially dangerous. If you screw it up, you're drive will be useless. Besides, most of the forementioned software removes the region code.

Hi,
I am trying to rip the Grudge using DVD Decrypter version 3.5.2.0 and Shrink 3.2. It seems not to be working. Should I be using a different version? Thanks for any help you can give. PS. I am not a computer wiz :)
