Anyone have experience using Fuji DVD+R media? They have them on sale at BestBuy (25 dvd's for ~$40). I tried using one today but it gave me a coaster (I them burned it to a memorex dvd w/o error). I have a Memorex drive (use Nero to burn) and have been using Memorex DVD+R/RW without problem. Is Fuji a good brand? Was it just a fluke?

Mizzou - I have an HP200i and tried FUJI DVD+R = NO LUCK. I used some Verbatim DVD +RW and had no problem. Anyone with any luck with FUJI. If not I will ask Best Buy (where I got the FUJI) and see if they can get them to work.

Yes, I've successfully burned 12 DVDs using the Fujifilm DVDs from BestBuy. I burned one coaster, but that was my fault, not the DVD's.
However, I'm experiencing intermittant freezing on better then half of them, so I won't be using any more Fujifilm DVDS. I've read in other forums that this intermittant freezing is due to poor quality DVD blanks, but don't know for sure if this is true. The freezing is only momentary, and it's more annoying so I won't re-burn these DVDs.
My Naxell DVDS are playing fine with no intermittant freezing on any of the Twenty that I've burned so far.

I'm using Nero V5.5.10.0 to burn with. I have a Sony DRU500A.

I'm thinking of trying Memorex DVDs. You say you're not having any problems with Memorex DVD+R's ? How many have you successfully burned so far.

I also bought the fujifilm dvd+r's at best buy and at first I had some trouble with them but I uninstalled and deleted all my other burning software except the one that I was using and I used the burner to read and write and since then I havent had any problems with this media. I have burned about 40 games successfully without any problems. They play perfect.

That's good to hear, cause BB sure had a good price of them.
I just found 12packs of Verbatin +R's at Sams for $2.00 each, so I'm going to use them for now.
Could be I just got a bad batch, as my other brands don't have this problem.

I've had no problems with Memorex so far. I've burned about 10 discs without any errors. I guess I just got unlucky with my first Fuji DVD because I've burned about 5 since then and have had no problems. They all play very well in my standalone Philips dvd player.

I took some Fuji DVD+R burned DVD's to best buy a tried them in all the dvd players.They played in most of the players,over 90% of them,great DVD's
