Encoding ripped vob files to xvid or divx? Help please...

Ok so I know how to rip the vob files from a dvd using DVD Decryptor. But now I need to know how to encode the movie into a divx or xvid file. If I wanted to encode the whole movie I'd use Auto Gordian Knot. But let's say I only wanted to encode a small section of the movie...or if I rip 4 half and hour episodes from a DVD but each vob file contains the last half of one episode and the first half of another episode. What program can I use to select a range of what to encode instead of encoding the entire dvd? Thanks

xilisoft dvd ripper can directly rip DVDs to divx. Through seting the starting time and duration, you can rip any desired clip. download it at http://www.xilisoft.com
