Hello...newbie here...need your expertise..

Just bought a Plextor PX-TV402U which came bundled with Intervideo WinDVD5 software. I have figured out how to capture the video from my TV, but no matter what setting I set it at (Divx,MPEG4,MPEG3) I can't get it to burn a disc that will play in my computer or home DVD player. I have a Plextor 716a burner which I know work,as I backup my movies with CloneDVD & it burns flawlessly. I use Taiyo Yuden DVD+R's, and all my firmware is current. Does anyone have and idea what I'm doing wrong? I can give you any info you need as far as my settings go..maybe someone else has this setup and knows what to do.....PLEASE HELP!!
