MC Exploit with Flip Top Question

Today a the swap magic 3.3 disk set arived with my flip top. i installed the flip top fine, and both swap magic disks work. Using the guide at http://www.maxconsole.com/?mode=comments&newsid=2387&start=7 i created an cd to install my compatible hdd, but when i go to load the cd, it says invalid ps2 disk. i still cannot figure out why. any suggestions?

did you use cd-r or rw (rw doesn't work in a lot of ps2's)?
