I don't know if I am using the forum correctly - I have made a few posts but am still struggling to get what I need - Here goes another try.
I have Nero 6 with Nero Vesion express & dvd plug in have downloaded Divx - DVD and DVD shrink. Using a Freecom classic DVD +/- RW I am trying to create a DVD that will play in my DVD player. I am absolutely clueless and am confused by all file names avi. ISO's etc. and would just appreciate a real dumbed down tutorial on creating a DVD - I have tried numerous times to follow the prompts and haven't created a playable dvd yet !! Should I use a DVD RW and if so does it need to be formatted first - IN CD asks this when I first load a blank one - I downloaded the file I want to convert from Bitlord and it is a torrent.

Im abit confussed here are you trying to copy a dvd or say create a dvd from a downloaded divx file or from a capture(camcorder). If you don't know what a .iso is or .AVI you got a lot of reading to do. And I would Suggest for you if your trying to copy dvd to go buy some kinda dvd copy program there a lot of them out now. you know one click and it's done. I can tell ya this downloading Divx files or mpeg4 files off of these P2P sites is very risky I hope you know alot about firewalls and antivirus programs. Plus there a pain to convert to play on standalone dvd player. Much eaiser to just make copy of DVD.

You have a lot to learn.

You need to look at the guides, software and glossary tabs at the top of this page.

You should not have INCD running on your system - it will corrupt most burning programs.

If you want to learn use the search button and other tabs available at the top of this page.
