MODULATOR TRAPS ???

Setup:
I have HD digital cable with ALL the various components in my primary AV room. Over the years I have used a SONY MRD-D1 Modulator to relay the cable, VCR and DVD component output to my office setup. As is standard format to watch the A-Room DVD you select a preset frequency on the B-Room TV (greater than 65 to tap into that A-Room signal.

Symptoms:
After the new HD box was installed replacing the old non HD box I have had a strange issue. When I try to watch the TV in the B-Room the video and audio signals are pure distortion for about 5-10 minutes then suddenly appears clear as a bell.

Attmepts to Resolve:
1. I have replaced all cables Monster or Audioquest quality.
2. New MRD-D1 Modulator
3. Changed Frequency from 50s to 60s to 70s.

All of the above was attempted and still the same strange delay before good signal.

Suggested Resolution:
I had a technician talk about the use of modifying the Modulator with a "Modulator Trap". It addresses the fact that there are so many cable channel frequencies that the modulator can not find a clear and separate frequency with which to relay the signal. The Trap somehow creates some space between the frequencies to do this.

CAN ANYONE REFER ME to someone who knows something about creating a modulator Trap so I can try this as a soution? Any assistance would be much apprecitated.
