i have been on this site for some time and i think it is the best...

anyway, there have been some people who have trouble burning "24" episodes they have...

well i just tried this method and it worked so use it people...

method: use WinAVI Video Convertor to convert 4 episodes to DVD format at once (use the batch encode option or just select 4 episodes at one time to convert)...

you should select 4 episodes (if you are trying to burn this entire season of "24") because 4 episodes per disk is great and any MORE episodes will not fit and the quality will be less and any LESS episodes (if you are burning the entire season) will just be a waste of disks...

after it is done converting (it will take some time), use Nero Start Smart and add the files you converted and add menues and etc (Nero is pretty self-explanatory and easy)...

remember to make the DVD in NTSC format when you are in Nero Start Smart (if you are in america)...

any questions just type...

P.S. i made this thread because some "24" fans have trouble burning their episodes because there is a sound issue...

THIS method WILL solve the sound issue and will make a DVD with great sound and quality...

is it in hi definition ?
i think you need to resize it to 720x480.

you can take a look at the guide section to see a glimpse of what needs to be done.
yes i think nero sucks at encoding. nero 5 that is

well nero recode is pretty decent nowadays.

i'm not sure how TMPGEnc handles hi def sources.
but do try it.

yes, you need to resize it to 720x480, a legal size for dvd format.

i think your video is already resize to 1:1 aspect ratio.
and if i'm right 24 is presented in widescreen presentation. so you can encode it anamorphically.
resize it to 720x480, the picture will look taller, thats is correct, just add 16:9 tag and it will resize during playback.

i tried TMPGEnc while trying to encode my "24" eps. but there is a sound issue and i hade to get virtual dub. and even this method made the sound out of sync...

it was VERY annoying and took a LONG time and then, it DID NOT even work...

with my method:

there is no problems like this or any other...

step-by-step guide

1. open WinAVI Video Converter
2. Click DVD
3. select your video files that you want to convert (no more than 4)
4. the ONLY thing that you might want to do in WinAVI is click "adavnced" (right next to "DVD") and click "output" tab and change YOUR disk's capacity
5. click "ok" and conversion will begin
6. open Nero Start Smart
7. click "make your own dvd-video"
8. click "add video files"
8.) select the video files that were "created" because of the conversion process. NOT the ORIGINAL files the CONVERTED ones...
9. click "next"
10. make menues...
11. click "more", "video options" and ONLY change "quality setting" to "high quality"...
12. click "next"
13. click "next"
14. click "burn"

BTW i use the NEWEST versions of WinAVI and Nero...

i hope this helps "24 fans" AND any other person...

this method can help with any show and movies too...

any questions or comments, just type...
