Can't Upload photos with V505

I can't seem to get my motorola v505 to work with Mobile PhoneToolsv3.11 software. I'm using windows98.

The software is continually initializing and both the transmission and reception are disabled whenever I connect the phone to the PC via the USB cable. In addition, the v505 isn't even listed as an option whenever it's searching for my phone so I have to use v500, v525, v551 etc. as an alternative.

Can someone please help as I'd like to upload pics from my cellphone to the PC. If someone can offer assistance setting up bluetooth as well that would be great too.
