is there a prog that lets me reocrd the audio from the dvd so that it plays back in 5.1surround sound....anyone help me please...thnx ..lorus

Rip the movie using SmartRipper, use its Stream processing and select the AC3 track you wish to have and uncheck all the rest. Check "Demux to extra file" for the selected audio track and rip it. The AC3 file you get after this is the audio track. You can play it back using AC3 audio filters, you can find these from doom9.
