Troubles with freezing playback on standalone player

The problem is when i playback the svcd on my pc there are no problems, when i paly it on my mustek, it freezes for instances then continues then freezes again, weird.

Any clues, im encoding with tmpgenc from a divx to svcd, im unsing ntscfilm because of the existing framerate, im serving from virtualdub and adding subtitles, im using a CBR of 1650 so as to fit them on 2 cd's

help me out here
