I just saw the commercial for it (during the Super Bowl.) So lame in my opinion. People just trying to do anything they can to make money. People should try being more creative. Like the guy that auctioned off advertising space on his forehead for a month, and got $33,000.

apparently there's like 30 or 40 of them. the sellers claim that mcdonalds manufactures the "lincoln fry" on purpose and distributes them throughout the world. what a load of crap.

You guys don't read much, apparently. I quote from the website...
Quote: This auction is for one ?Lincoln Fry? prop. Prop was created for DDB Chicago?s production of McDonald?s ?Lincoln Fry? television and internet advertisements. This Lincoln Fry prop is crafted from polyurethane and stands approximately 4 inches tall. It forms a base at one end and a partial bust of President Abraham Lincoln at the other. ?Lincoln Fry? is not edible.
Upon auction close, Buyer will be notified via email. Shipping cost to be paid by Seller. The final bid amount will be donated by Seller to Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Purchase by Buyer is not tax deductible. For more information about Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMCH®) and its three core programs ? the Ronald McDonald House®, Ronald McDonald Family Room? and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile? ? please visit www.rmhc.org.

what are you talking about? you haven't disagreed with anything anyone has said. If you would have read my post from above:
Quote: apparently there's like 30 or 40 of them. the sellers claim that mcdonalds manufactures the "lincoln fry" on purpose and distributes them throughout the world. what a load of crap.
So we ALREADY knew it was fake, and just because the ONE seller is giving his money to Ronald McDonald doesn't mean that the other jackasses out there selling them are going to.

I love a good cause. Mine is the American Cancer Society, (since I lost my dad to cancer,) and the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. But if anyone catches me paying $300,000 for a plastic French fry, no matter what the cause, please just shoot me. Thanks!

McDonalds is donating the money to charity. Okay, fine. But the schmucks that are putting them up on ebay and selling them for thousands of dollars aren't!
